v3.12 Release Notes

This document describes all new features and changes in the release. The format is based on Keep a Changelog and this project adheres to Semantic Versioning.

v3.12.6 (2026-09-17)

Fixed

  • #1332 - Fixed Arista CloudVision SSoT failing to load on Python 3.12 when setuptools is not installed.
  • #1367 - Fixed enable_global_search: False leaving the Sync model included in Nautobot global search; both Sync and SyncLogEntry are now excluded, as they were before 3.10.0.
  • #1367 - Fixed the SSoT searchable_models entries using mixed-case model names, which prevented model-scoped global search requests such as ?obj_type=sync from matching.
  • #1379 - Fixed the SSoT Sync Details button on the JobResult detail view loading the entire Sync row, including the diff JSON, which can be hundreds of megabytes and overflowed the MySQL sort buffer (Out of sort memory) so the page failed to load. The button now fetches only the Sync primary key, in one query instead of two.

Housekeeping

  • #1332 - Fixed failing Device42 unit test caused by a dependence on Interface ordering.
  • Rebaked from the cookie nautobot-app-v2.7.3.

  • #1259 - Added skip_auto_component_creation opt-in for SSoT jobs, suppressing Nautobot's automatic Device/Module component instantiation during sync via Nautobot core's nautobot.apps.dcim.SkipAutoComponentCreation extension point (nautobot/nautobot#9026).

v3.12.1 (2026-03-09)

Added

  • #1096 - Added two new settings to the Arista CV integration to allow for the deletion of namespaces and prefixes that are present in Nautobot but not present in CloudVision (both default to False).

Fixed

  • #1096 - Fixed a bug in the Arista CV integration that was attempting to create duplicate namespaces and prefixes that were already present in Nautobot but were not associated with an Arista device.
  • #1098 - Fixed Device42 integration load_sites() passing LocationType.name string instead of LocationType instance to Location.objects.filter(), causing the sync job to fail.
